Add Some Zen to Your Space!

Queens,

We live in a world where the hustle and bustle of life can sometimes fill our entire day. But as mentioned in my self-care post, it is just important to make sure you relax. I often find it hard to relax, but I am making more of an effort to do so and to make my home a place of relaxation and comfort.

In my last apartment, I didn't really decorate; especially not in my bedroom. It was pretty bland and maybe that's why I fell into a slight depression. But this time, I made it my duty to make sure my entire living space exuded peace. My living room is pretty minimalistic, but also has touches of warmth to tie everything together. I feel totally comfortable cuddling up with my favorite blanket and binge watching my favorite shows.

In my bedroom, I wanted the aesthetic to be both zen and vibrant if that makes sense. My comforter set is pretty "loud," but the rest of my room is pretty chill. I don't have a ton of things on my dresser like I used to and I have these beautiful lights hanging from my wall that give my room a cozy backyard feel. I also recently invested in an oil diffuser and it is life changing honey. I absolutely adore it! I use it every day, and it really does work. If you aren't familiar with oil diffusers, they are basically stylish humidifiers that send out a mist of water and essential oils of your choice. Each oil that came with the set I ordered has a different benefit and I normally use it while sleeping or just when I want to relax. The quiet mist calms me and the smell is phenomenal. My personal favorite is the lemongrass oil. I highly suggest this little gadget to add some zen to your place. Not only will you room smell good, but the energy in your room will also be more peaceful.
