Jessica Lewis is the owner and creator of Redefine Woman (blog, production, apparel, events). She studied Journalism, Sociology and African-American Studies at the Pennsylvania State University, and graduated with her B.A. in 2014. Lewis has been blogging since 2014, but decided to add screenwriter, producer, and director to her title by creating her first web series that will be available on her platform's YouTube page. She is passionate about using her creativity on digital platforms and creating opportunities for herself and other young entrepreneurs to shine. Her ultimate goal is to run Redefine Woman as a multifaceted business where she blogs, produces digital content, sells apparel, and brings women together with events. She also released her first eBook in August 2017 called "How I Got my Crown Back," which is available on Amazon.
Maceo Tendaji: Director of Photography/ Assistant Director
Maceo Tendaji is the owner and creative director of Ikonic Visions. He is a film director, editor, and cinematographer. Tendaji was born in Baltimore, MD and raised in the outskirts of the Charm City; Glen Burnie, MD. Throughout high school his peers noticed his knack for taking photos, which led him to experimenting with cameras in his leisure time. In pursuit of becoming a sports videographer, Tendaji received his B.A. in Mass Communications at Virginia State University. Years later he enrolled at the Maryland Institute College of Art where he currently studies film. Tendaji is known for his love of music, sports and African-American culture, which are very prevalent in his work. He plans to embark on the entertainment industry with cinematic narrative music videos, narrative film, documentaries, and even abstract visuals.

Alyse Hamilton is excited to make her debut as associate producer for The C-Word! She is a working actress who's latest roles include Kelsey in The C-Word as well as the lead in the short film, The Runaways set to premiere early 2018.
Jamie Duffy: Sound/ Boom Operator
James P. Duffy is a writer, filmmaker, and musician who works as freelance sound mixer and boom operator. Raised in central Maryland, he currently lives in the Baltimore City. James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Theory from Lebanon Valley College, and a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Filmmaking from Maryland Institute College of Art.
jenahye johnson: editor
Jenahye Johnson is a Baltimore based Filmmaker and who just received her MFA in Filmmaking from the Maryland Institute College of Art this past Spring. From as early as she can remember, she has been drawn to the art of filmmaking and storytelling. Weekend matinees were a standard family outing throughout her childhood. Throughout her Undergraduate studies, she grew more and more fascinated with film production. When presented with the idea to apply to Graduate School for Filmmaking, she jumped at the opportunity. In the Spring 2016, her first film, Eden premiered at the Maryland Film Festival. Since then, her work has been screened in several national and regional film festivals across the country. Currently, she is working as a freelance videographer, colorist, and editor while writing and directing her own short films. Moving forward, Jenahye hopes to continue writing and directing films for and about the African Americans and LGBTQ communities.
oakes isaac: music supervisor
Oakes is from York, PA. He graduated from Penn State in 2014 and is now a software engineer at ESPN. He played the viola in his school's orchestra from 4th - 12th grade. His experience in the orchestra laid the ground work as far as his musical foundation. Oakes began experimenting and creating instrumentals in FL Studio (beat making software) when he was 13 and was heavily influenced by his uncles who at the time were into music production and rapping.
Patrick Pierre: Lead Actor (Nyle McClain)
Patrick Pierre started his acting career in December of 2015 and is still working his way up. His first film was called "Money Talks" by Marty Films Production. He has been in lead roles since and he also has been doing background extra work. He began his modeling in 2016 and has been a part of DC Fashion Week and commercials for Volkswagen. During his second year, he has worked with Tristin Mays, George Eads, Lucus Till and Justin Hayes. He plans on making acting and modeling his full-time career because it's not a job, but a passion.

Alexis J Smith is a California-born actor & singer, who honed her skills in both community theater & church while living as an Army brat in different countries around the world. She is also a Daytime Emmy nominated producer, Registered Nurse and Loving Mom.
aarron loggins: supporting actor (Tahj)
The Illinois native didn't take being hard of hearing as a limitation as he managed to learn American Sign Language by the age of 3. Aarron joined and performed with several companies such as Wild Zappers, the National Theatre for the Deaf, and the Gallaudet Dance Company. Aarron became the premier entertainer and advocate for the deaf and hard of hearing. Also, he is member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.
Aarron Loggins was the first ever won Mister Deaf International (USA) at London in 2014 during Miss Mister Deaf International. His work includes Cousin Kevin on TV One's premiere "For My Woman", leading role (Tyler) "IN GOOD HANDS", D-PAN Music Video "You Brought Me The Sunshine", and American Sign Language Music Video. Also, he is motivational speaker and his signature is: Believe In YOURSELF.
nichole chimere: supporting actress (Vicky)
Nichole Chimere was born and raised in Largo, MD. She has always been interested in acting, but allowed fear and self-doubt, to keep her from her dreams. Her great uncle Carl Anderson who was a singer, but is best known for his role as “Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar”, introduced her to the industry at a young age, but it would be years before she drank the water she was lead to. She was most recently the lead actress in a short film titled “The Fix” which has been accepted into festivals such as The Toronto International Film Festival. She truly enjoyed playing the role of Vicky in The C-Word web series. All of the characters were so believable but everyone knows a “Vicky!”

Tyree "Gusto" Brooks was born in Brooklyn, NY, but moved to DC at the age of 2. This is his first encounter with acting.
courtney swinson: supporting actress (Kay williams)
Courtney Swinson, born in Washington, DC and raised in PG County, Maryland, always had a creative passion. She took to one of her passions at a young age by enrolling in John Robert Powers acting school. Although she did not take classes for long, she went on to study Communications and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Trinity Washington University. By obtaining a Communications degree, she hoped to be able to use her degree to potentially
return to the acting field one day. In April of 2017, Courtney was casted for the role of Karissa “Kay” Williams in the C-Word web series. This was her first and only major role thus far. However, this role has encouraged her to work towards landing more roles in the future. Not only does Courtney love to act, she is also passionate about music and the art of makeup. In her spare time, she creates various makeup looks which she blogs on her Youtube channel. She also listens to a variety of music as a creative outlet. In the future, she hopes to combine all of her passions into an enjoyable and prosperous career path.

Michael is an actor/director/videographer from Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from Stevenson University in 2014 majoring in Film, Video, and Theatre. Michael made his first television debut back in 2016. He works independently in the Baltimore/DMV area. Currently he is working on several different web series in the DMV area. Michael has also performed in plays such as Miss Evers' Boys, Godspell, All in the Timing, Comedy of Errors, and Our Town.
chaseedaw "cha-cha" giles: principal actress (nala)
Chaseedaw is a model, performance artist and actress of stage, screen and television. After graduation from Boston College she began pursuing a career in film working background on titles such as the The Women and The Social Network, and on TV in shows such as House of Cards. In Washington, DC she landed her first lead role in a feature length independent film Thick, produced by Anthony Greene and Cheryl Brown, as assassin Nina Answell.
In 2014 she won DC Metro Theater Arts’ Best Featured Actress for the role of Lady in Green in the Laurel Mill Playhouse production of For Colored Girls. This year she has crossed over into professional theater in TBD Imersive's production of In Cabaret We Trust running through Sept 29th.
Further exploring her love for the arts, in 2016 she recorded and released her first single, Daddy, featuring Deborah Bond. Her second single release Bougie is being performed in, In Cabaret We Trust.
Jasmine lewis: limited actress (keisha)
Eager to explore more of what life had to offer, Jasmine, a mother-of-two and an avid animal lover, left her hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana with her two sons, started life away from her family and eventually moved to Washington DC. After many years of soul-searching, attending college, working a steady full-time job and raising her boys, she decided to take a shot at becoming an actress. She auditioned for multiple parts and landed a role as "Keisha" in The C-Word, a web series that was shooting locally. Jasmine was very pleased to hear that she would be a part of such an amazing production and it was definitely one to remember! She continues to learn as she goes and is constantly on the lookout for more exciting experiences working as an actress. Jasmine also admits that she feels so blessed to have found a genuine love for acting; something that makes her entire being feel free, vibrant and full of purpose.

Ivan is a 27-year-old youth pastor intern and the creator of Prayeriskey. He has some acting experience in other short films and church plays.

A Baltimore, Maryland native, Isaiah Evans made his acting debut in broadway play Superior Donuts in 2016 as Franco Wicks. Since then he has appeared in over 10 film theater and television productions, including TV ONE's "For My Woman" and the Indie films "The Runaways" and "The In Between". Currently an industrial engineering student at Morgan State University, Isaiah is a certified Auto Mechanic with ASE certifications in Electrical Systems and Braking. Present-day, Isaiah is working on becoming a CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) through PPA. Though a "jack of all trades" Isaiah's passion will always be acting, and n he is "looking forward to one day walking across the Red Carpet and working opposite Bryan Cranston”

Jennifer Caballero is a professional actress in the D.C./MD/VA area. She earned her degree from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts where she studied film, television and theatre. She is currently studying at Northern Virginia Community College to earn her Liberal Arts degree with the hopes of transferring to George Mason University in the future in order to earn her bachelor's degree in Film and Video Studies. This is her second appearance in a webseries and she hopes to continue to grow in her professional career with the hopes of someday reaching the big screen. During her free time, she enjoys reading, dancing and watching movies on Netflix.
